
Better yet, we were able to perfectly match the pattern from the original pillars to the new pillars framing the entrance to the pool patio. We were able to use the same wall block as was used in the original patio to provide continuity between the two phases. Lighting is included throughout the project to ensure that this amazing outdoor living area can be enjoyed long after dusk! This project was installed east of Cheyenne, WY at Humphrey Preserve.

A large stone slab provides a natural bridge over the stream. Backyard Oasis, Backyard waterfall, Fire Pit, Flagstone Patio, Outdoor Fire pit, Pondless waterfall. Urns provide additional interest and vertical elements, as well as housing gas burners. The crowning feature is the massive waterfall cascading into the pool. A fire boulder with Adirondack chairs provides a space for late night conversations, or for adults to relax on a cool evening while children continue to swim. Wide natural stone coping conceals the vault around the spa, and provides an additional seating area. A stainless steel spa provides a place to relax during the cooler months, and a gas heater allows quick heat up. This poolside patio is filled with special features.

During that patio design process, the client requested that we frame an entrance to the back yard with pillars, “Just in case I ever build a pool, but I won’t build a pool.”įive years later, we were designing a gorgeous pool area for the same client! There were several challenges to be met on this project, including some elevation changes and incorporating stormwater management. It looks like it’s existed here for many, many years.There’s a great story behind this poolside patio, which is truly one of our Signature Projects! In 2013, we built a small concrete paver walkway and patio with a gas fire pit adjacent to Jeff and Pam’s deck. You’d never guess this water feature is fairly new. A stone stairway to the left of the waterfalls creates opportunity to explore the water feature up close.Ī close-up view shows the intricate details of rocks and their placement. There are plenty of places to sit and relax to the tumbling sound of the waterfalls.Ī large picture window provides a place to pull up a chair and enjoy the scenery from inside. Toward the back, you can see an outdoor fireplace with a screened-in gazebo nearby. The homeowners enjoy a fire pit near the middle of the waterfall’s journey through the yard.

When water isn’t balanced, it can become brown or even green with excessive algae. When a pond or backyard waterfall is built correctly, the water should be clean and clear.
